Red Hook BBQ
Carol and Gordon held a barbeque to celebrate the closing on their new
beautiful old house by the water in Red Hook.

When we walked up from the bus stop dozens of birds were chirping in
the trees in the garden. Smoke drifted from the grill.
It felt like going to the country. The 3-story house has a large
front garden with herbs, grapes and sunflowers, a brick courtyard
with lots of room to barbeque, a front porch with a huge striped awning
and a laundry line, a basement with laundry room, and
a beautiful, newly renovated kitchen the size of many people's studio
apartments (pantry! 6-burner range! terra cotta floor tiles!).
And at the end of their block is an up-close, unobstructed view of
the Statue of Liberty. All in Brooklyn!
Carol and Gordon are extremely happy, and so are their cats.
