I used to live in Brooklyn, across
the East River from the World Trade Center.
Every once in a while I would lean out
the window and take photos of the skyline.

The cars in the foreground are burnt-out police cars and taxis taken from the wreckage. The flash of light in the center is the reflection of the work lights on the smoke. The smoke is also responsible for the spectacular sunset colors. Photo by J. Mellenbruch. |
